Looks like the big promotional drive for Dilwale is finally paying off! It’s raining money for the Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer at the Box Office. The film has raked in nearly Rs 65.09 crore (updated) in its first weekend in India.
Well, and thanks to Shah Rukh’s massive fan following across the globe, Dilwale has collected Rs 56.38 crore ($8.5 million) in the overseas market. Hence, the total worldwide collections (India + overseas) of Dilwale now stands at Rs 121.47 crore. Huge, isn’t it?

Even after failing to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in its first three days in India, Dilwale has become the third highest opening weekend grosser of the year, after Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
On the international front, the action-romance film is going houseful in certain overseas territories. As the days pass, the figures are growing for the film. A strong word of mouth publicity, which Dilwale is certainly receiving, works as a booster for it.
For now, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are ruling at the Indian and overseas markets.
