પટણા/ જયપુર/ મુંબઇ તા. 19 ડિસેમ્બર 2015 રોહિત શેટ્ટી અને શાહરુખ ખાનના સહિયારા સર્જન સમી ફિલ્મ દિલવાલેની રજૂઆત સામે દેશના કેટલાક ભાગમાં જોરદાર વિરોધ થયો હતો. ખાસ કરીને બિહારમાં અને રાજસ્થાનમાં શુક્રવારે આ ફિલ્મ વિરોધી જોરદાર દેખાવો થયા હતા. બિહારના પટણામાં બજરંગ દળે કરેલા વિરોધના પરિણામે બે શો રદ કરવા પડયા હોવાના રિપોર્ટ મળ્યા હતા. બજરંગ દળના કાર્યકરોએ થિયેટર પરથી ફિલ્મનાં પોસ્ટર્સ ઊતારી નાખ્યા હતા અને શો રદ કરવાની ફરજ પાડી હતી. પોતાના બર્થ ડેએ શાહરુખ ખાને દેશમાં અસહિષ્ણુતા વધી રહી છે એવા કરેલા નિવેદનના પગલે ઉશ્કેરાયેલા આ કાર્યકરોએ પટણા અને અરરિયા વિસ્તારનાં બે થિયેટરોમાં શો રદ કરવાની ફરજ પાડી હતી. તેમણે શાહરુખ ખાન વિરોધી સૂત્રોચ્ચાર પણ કર્યા હતા. એક થિયેટર પર તો શાહરુખની ઠાઠડી બાળવામાં આવી હતી. રાજસ્થાનમાં અજમેર શરીફ, ઉદયપુર અને અન્યત્ર દિલવાલે વિરોધી દેખાવો યોજાયા હતા. જન સમસ્યા નિવારણ કેન્દ્ર નામની સંસ્થાએ કરેલા વિરોધના પગલે કેટલાંક થિયેટરોમાં અગાઉથી ટિકિટો વેચાઇ જવા છતાં થિયેટરોએ અનિચ્છનીય બનાવો ટાળવા શો રદ કર્યા હોવાના રિપોર્ટ મળ્યા હતા. અન્ય કેટલાંક થિયેટરો પર પોલીસના રક્ષણ હેઠળ ટિકિટો વેચાતી હતી. જો કે દિલવાલે રજૂ થવાની પૂર્વસંધ્યાએ શાહરુખે એક ટીવી શોમાં બોલતાં પોતે કરેલા અસહિષ્ણુતા અંગેના નિવેદન વિશે માફી માગી લીધી હતી. એને ખ્યાલ આવી ગયો હતો કે એની ફિલ્મ પર પોતાના નિવેદનની પ્રતિકૂળ અસર પડી શકે છે.

Ranveer Singh: No other film demanded this much of me Actor Ranveer Singh, in a PTI report, says that he has given his best to justify the role of Peshwa Bajirao in his upcoming film, Bajirao Mastani. “He was a great man. The deeper I get into it the more I realise what a great man he was. It is a great honour to be selected to play this character. I did my best to justify what I was given to play. He was a true Maratha. It has been an intense experience for me,” he said. Ranveer further elaborated that, “I had to focus and try and create something distinct. It is not easy to do a period character and transport mentally to that time. No other film demanded this much of me. It is not a complaint, I am proud and happy to play this role which you get in a decade. I had got to do much for my craft."
