SRK refuses to comment on Ghulam Ali concert
Kolkata: Once bitten twice shy. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Monday refused to comment on Pakistani ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali’s upcoming performance in the eastern metropolis because of how people react whenever he makes political or religious remarks.
“Because of the reaction I get whenever I make political or religious comments, I will not use this platform to say anything on this,” Shah Rukh told the media here in response to a poser on Ghulam Ali’s concert.
Shah Rukh’s comments on the recent intolerance debate created quite a stir, but the 50-year-old actor maintained that he had not said anything which merited an apology.
However, he regretted that the box office collection of his film “Dilwale” was adversely affected due to protests by people who “misinterpreted” and “misconstrued” his comments on intolerance in the country.
Ghulam Ali will perform at the Netaji Indoor Stadium here on Tuesday.
After the cancellation of his concert in Mumbai due to threats by the Shiv Sena, Ghulam Ali in November had expressed his disappointment asserting “never to return to India”.

As ‘Dilwale’ has failed to create a big mark at the box office dampening expectation arising out of the return of his pairing with Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan today admitted his disappointment.
“I don’t think the film has done as well as it should have. I am personally disappointed with that,” Shah Rukh told reporters here. “To be honest, it has perhaps not done as well in India as I would like it to do. But overseas it has done very well in a lot of countries like Germany, Austria.

Priyanka Chopra to Star in ‘Baywatch’?

Los Angeles, Jan 12: Singer Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom have sparked dating rumours.
The duo was spotted flirting at the Golden Globes after-party at the Beverly Hilton on January 10.
In some photographs obtained by Mail Online, Perry was seen chatting intimately with Bloom, reports aceshowbiz.com.
One of the images showed the “Roar” singer smiling widely as he whispered something in her ear. The pair reportedly left the glamorous party together through a side entrance with security guards leading the way.

“I don’t have anything to do with it: neither was I recruited nor was I let go. Please leave me out of it,” SRK told media persons here on Monday at the launch of ‘Shades of Bengal’ coffee table book by Kansai Nerolac.
Superstar Aamir Khan had confirmed earlier this month that he was no longer brand ambassador of the Incredible India campaign and said he respected the government’s decision not to extend his contract in this regard.

The much anticipated movie of the year, Raees has its second schedule of shooting going on and superstar Shah Rukh Khan was clicked dressed in a blue pathani with spectacles. Katrina prays she stars in SRK’s ‘Don 3’ & Hrithik’s next
Mumbai: Actress Katrina Kaif neither denied nor confirmed if she’ll be opposite Shah Rukh Khan in “Don 3” or Hrithik Roshan in Kabir Khan’s film but only said she “prays” that films are “happening with her”.
Asked if she was part of “Don 3”, she said: “That’s incredible if that’s true. This is all good news to me.”
To queries if she will be seen in Kabir Khan’s next project with Hrithik, to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, she laughingly said: “These are both amazing films, I pray that they’re happening and that they’re happening with me.”
Katrina was speaking to reporters at a radio station where she came as part of promotions for “Fitoor”. She has previously worked with “Don” Shah Rukh in Yash Chopra’s “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” and has worked with Hrithik in “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara”.
There were initially reports which claimed that Priyanka Chopra, who was part of the earlier two films, would be dropped from the “Don” franchise. But Farhan had claimed in November last year that except for Shah Rukh reprising the character, nothing had been finalized, not even the script.
Katrina and Kabir have given hits like “New York” and “Ek Tha Tiger” and she had worked in his last film “Phantom” opposite Saif Ali Khan. Her chemistry with Hrithik has been appreciated always as seen in “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” and “Bang Bang”.
About a recent report stating that she spent two hours on “Sultan” sets convincing superstar Salman Khan to cast her, she denied it. “Nothing of that sort happened. Actually we were dubbing for ‘Fitoor’ and Ali Abbas Zafar, the director of ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ had his shooting going on there. And I haven’t gone on anyone’s set.”

Rapper Raftaar, best known for his songs like “Bottle”, “Swag mera desi hai” and “Dhup chik”, has come up with a new single for the upcoming stunt-based reality show “Khatron Ke Khiladi- Kabhi Keeda Kabhi Peeda”
The video of the special song will feature actor Arjun Kapoor, who will be seen hosting the show.
“This is the second reality show with the channel where my voice will echo till the end. ‘Khatron’ is totally my kind of show and I am glad to have got the opportunity to lend my voice for the music video. I hope the audience will love this new version of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’,” Raftaar, who was seen as a contestant on dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded”, said in a statement.
The music video will go on air at Sansui Stardust Awards, which will be aired on Sunday.

Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna says he enjoyed having co-actor N.T Rama Rao (NTR) on his television show Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu, the Telugu version of Kaun Banega Crorepati, earlier this week.
“It was so much fun having him on the show. I enjoyed the whole experience. I’ve known him for a very long time and his father is very close to me. Having him on the show was like having a member from the extended family,” Nagarjuna told IANS.
When asked how much NTR won, he said: “He won some serious money. You’ll have to watch the show to find out how much”.
A special episode featuring NTR was shot earlier in the week. It will be aired next week ahead of Sankranti festival.

Mumbai: Debutante director Nitya Mehra’s upcoming romantic drama “Baar Baar Dekho”, which stars Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif, is set to release on September 9.
The film is being co-produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Karan Johar.

Mumbai, Jan 8: Indo-Canadian adult film star Sunny Leone, who will soon be seen in sex comedy film “Mastizaade”, says the film director made her feel so comfortable that she never felt “wrong” shooting for the movie.
“Every actor and actress have their own dos and don’ts and in this film (‘Mastizaade’), there were lots of don’t but me and Milap Zaveri (the director of the film) sat together and decided what we can do. He made me so comfortable.
“I feel whatever we shot for ‘Mastizaade’ is not wrong and I am not worried about people’s reaction towards me,” she added.
Co-produced by Pritish Nandy and Rangita Pritish Nandy, “Mastizaade” will release on January 29. The film also features Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das, among others.
Sunny feels that people have different perceptions about her but she never took it seriously.
“If people think I can do anything onscreen then that’s a natural thing for them to think. I can’t do anything about that. As an actor when you start putting limitations, you don’t have an open mind to explore.”Yami Gautam Had Her Eyes on Pulkit; He Never Had the Hots For Her: Pulkit’s Wife Shweta
Actor Pulkit Samrat’s wife Shweta Rohira has talked about separation with her husband and his alleged affair with actress Yami Gautam. Pulkit and Yami will soon be seen in ‘Sanam Re’. There have been constant rumours of their affair since the time they started working together in this film. Now in an interview to DNA, Shweta, has said that the affair rumours are all false.
Yami said, “That is ridiculous. I know my husband and Yami is the last person he would want to be involved with. In fact, he didn’t even want to do films with her — he has acted with better actresses. Eight years ago, he had done a music video with her and at that time he wasn’t even talking to her. Yami always had her eyes on him, but Pulkit never had the hots for her. Even now when he was offered Junooniyat and Sanam Re he did not want to do them. It was I who told him it’s okay to do Junooniyat with her. In Sanam Re, initially, another girl (a friend of mine) was considered, but at the last minute it fell through and Yami came on board. But I had loved the story and had full faith in Divya (Kumar, director), so I insisted that Pulkit do the film. I know that there is nothing going on between them.”
When asked if Pulkit is living with Yami, Shweta replied “Pulkit is the last person to move into anyone’s house as he is pretty well off. Also, why would he, when he has his own house here and in Delhi?”
When asked why Pulkit will be spending Valentine’s Day with Yami, she said, “The film is releasing on February 12 and even if were together he would have spent it with them.
