5 records that Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale has broken till now! Rohit Shetty's film has shown a positive growth over the weekend!

The film has been loved by the audiences all across the globe…
Rohit Shetty directed film Dilwale has clocked in good numbers over the release weekend, which goes to show that the audiences are enjoying this entertainer. Not just in India, the film is setting new records in the overseas market as well. The net weekend collection of Dilwale in India is Rs. 65.09 crores and the overseas gross collection is 8.5 Million USD (Rs. 56 crores).
Trade Analyst Komal Nahta explains, “Dilwale defied opposition of Bajirao Mastani and clocked in a weekend total of Rs 65.09 crores, which is very good for a weekend without a festival; national or other holiday besides Sunday. The figure could have easily gone up to Rs 75 crores if it was a solo release and also if the local disturbances in some parts of the country wasn’t there to oppose the movie.” The film has clocked in record number in the Eastern and Southern regions of India. “There were a lot of odds stacked against Dilwale. A lavish, opulent film was released on the same day, it was a normal, non-festive weekend and it additionally faced a political protest. Considering so much opposition, if Dilwale has still brought in impressive numbers it’s only due to two factors: the enduring charisma of Shah Rukh Khan and the fact that Dilwale is an unabashed Entertainer,” says Bharathi Pradhan, Columnist, Critic and Author
“Dilwale has been appreciated by masses and also by family audience. The film’s business was affected due to the clash with another film (which means division of screens, shows and footfall) and also protests and cancellation of shows. Besides, it was the non-holiday weekend. Despite these factors, the weekend total is truly impressive and the forthcoming holidays (Christmas and New Year) should help boost the business of the film further,” shares Taran Adarsh, Trade Analyst. Add to this, Vajir Singh, Editor Box Office India says, “Dilwale is the 3rd highest weekend grosser of 2015. The biggest advantage the film holds is that all age groups can watch this film. The coming holiday period is only going to take the business of the film to a different level. So whether it has release on a non-holiday, with another movie or was opposed by local disturbances, Dilwale is a winner and here to rake in more moolah.”
#Dilwale has taken the biggest opening in Gulf region and outrun a huge fanchise film like Star Wars. It is the number 1 film in Gulf currently.
#In UK, the film has had the highest opening of 2015 amongst other Bollywood movies. It is at number 2 on the top 10 charts of all films in UK.
#Australian audience has defined another success story for the film. It is the biggest opening Bollywood film in Australia of 2015 and the biggest ever for SRK.
# It stands strong at the number 4 position of the Box Office charts in USA and number second position in Malaysia and New Zealand.
“Overseas Dilwale has grossed Rs. 56 crores which is phenomenal for the first weekend. With the holiday period setting in, it seems set for a good second and third week after the first week is complete,” add Komal Nahata.
