'Bajirao Mastani' starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone has taken worldwide box office by storm and it has collected a total of Rs. 90.80 crore in its opening weekend. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus collected Rs. 57.02 crore in India and Rs. 30 crore gross overseas.
Deepika, Ranveer's film has seen a steady rise in the box office collection thanks to a strong word of mouth. The film saw an upward graph over the weekend with collections jumping up to 21 per cent on Saturday and 44 per cent on Sunday over Friday in multiplexes across India.
On Monday (December 21) too, 'Bajirao Mastani' has shown a great response with morning and noon shows registering higher collections from those of the weekend.
The film earned Rs. 10.25 cr on Monday with the total collections going up to Rs. 57.02 cr.
Released with 3,750 screens worldwide, 'Bajirao Mastani' has reported a phenomenal business overseas and is at number 10 in the Top 10 US box office charts and number 7 on the UK charts.
Commenting on the film’s performance, Nandu Ahuja, Sr. VP, India Theatrical, Eros International Media Limited, said, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali has once again delivered a film rich in content and high on entertainment. Bajirao Mastani has truly delivered on its promise of being not just a film, but an experience."

Bhansali's magnum opus released worldwide on December 18 which clashed with Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer 'Dilwale' releasing on the same day.
